Joel Levine, conductor

Mozart:  Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major
Mahler:  Symphony No. 4

Program Notes
Concert Preview at 7PM featuring Rebekah Ambrosini

At the risk of calling down a jinx on our fall weather, we have re-scheduled Mahler's 4th with the incomparable Sari Gruber after our forced cancellation last winter.  Maestro Levine and Mahler challenge Mother Nature and we expect the musical forces to prevail.

We also introduce young pianist Shai Wosner to Oklahoma City audiences.  His acclaimed Chicago Symphony debut in the 2009-2010 season resulted in a schedule of performances with major orchestras across the country.  He is an exceptional artist being hailed by the New York Times as "a superb pianist."
