Meet Cupid's Wingman
February 24 & 25, 2012

Starring Tony DeSare

Smooth and delicious...an apt description of chocolate, champagne, AND Tony DeSare!  Singer, pianist, and songwriter, DeSare has a sound that is romantic, swinging, and senual whether he's performing classic standards or original material.  After starring in "Our Sinatra" off-Broadway, DeSare has been called a Sinatra acolyte and belongs to a group of neo-traditional upstarts stretching from Harry Connick, Jr. to Michael Buble.

DeSare, whose third CD "Radio Show" was released by Telarc Records earlier this year, was named a "Rising Star" Male Vocalist in the 2009 Downbeat Critics Poll. He has won critical acclaim for his concert performances in the U.S., Australia, Japan and Hong Kong. "Let's Stay In," one of the CDs original songs, is featured in the 20th Century Fox film "The Tooth Fairy" starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johns, Ashley Judd and Julie Andrews.

Wicked Divas
April 27 & 28, 2012

Starring Julia Murney
Starring Alli Mauzey

Wicked good!  This concert of diva showstoppers from Broadway, opera, and popular music is highlighted by selections from the Tony Award-winning musical "Wicked."  This program features Julia Murney and Alli Mauzey, singers who have performed in the roles of Elphaba, the "bad" witch, and Glinda, the "good" witch, on Broadway and on National Tours.  In addition to favorites from the "untold tale of the witches of Oz," the program also includes favorites from Gypsy, Ragtime, Titanic, and Carmen.

Julia Murney may have a voice and a face that strikes many people as familiar. She's appeared in TV hits including "Sex in the City," "30 Rock," "Ed," "NYPD Blue" and many others. In addition she has done countless voice-overs for commercials but her performances as Elphaba on Broadway and the National Tours of "Wicked" have earned her the love of audiences across the U.S.

Alli Mauzey most recently starred as Glinda in the final San Francisco company of Wicked. She also starred as Glinda in Wicked on Broadway. Her award-winning role of the love-crazed Lenora in the new musical Cry-Baby is one she originated off-Broadway. Mauzey is a regular in regional musical theaters around the country; and among her many voiceover credits, she can be heard as a regular on the animated television series Alpha Teens on Machines.
